Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation Makes Special Donation to the Griswold Historical Society

The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation announced that a grant of $1,873 was awarded to the Griswold Historical Society in honor of Jewett City Savings Bank’s 150th Anniversary.

Founded in 1971, the Griswold Historical Society is dedicated to promoting interest in Griswold’s heritage and the town’s historical development. During the Bank’s anniversary celebration at its main office, members of the Griswold Historical Society were presented with the donation.

“The Griswold Historical Society and its members continuously work hard to preserve and promote Griswold’s history and its historical development. We are thrilled to support such an important organization as they work to share their wealth of knowledge with residents and visitors,” said Michael Alberts, Jewett City Savings Bank President and CEO.
