Michael Alberts, President of the Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation, announced the opening of the 2026 grant application period. Grants are available to local 501(c)(3) and 170(c)(1) non-profit organizations, as well as other qualified non-profits, in the communities served by Jewett City Savings Bank.
“At a time when charitable giving has seen a noticeable decrease, the Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation provides critical support to the many community organizations on which our neighbors rely for essential services,” said Alberts.
The grant application and guidelines are available on JCSBank.com, and all completed applications must be submitted by August 31, 2026. The maximum request amount is $5,000. Funding for approved projects will be awarded by December 31, 2026, and applicants will be notified by mail.
Since its founding in 2004, the Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation, established by the Bank to strengthen and support the communities it serves, has donated over $1.5 million to support a wide range of local programs and services. In 2025, the Foundation awarded 80 grants totaling $136,672 to various community-focused organizations.
