Jewett City Savings Bank announced that President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Alberts, has been awarded Business Leader of the Year by the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.
Alberts was recognized for his leadership style and commitment to both the Bank and the northeastern Connecticut business community. A former United States Air Force Captain and Connecticut State Representative, his career is deeply rooted in public service. He pairs this strong track record of advocacy with a distinguished career in financial services, spanning nearly 40 years.
Alberts joined the Bank in 2015 as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer and in 2021 was named President and CEO, bringing a deep understanding of the importance of community connections to the role. Under his guidance, the Bank has continued to strengthen relationships and trust throughout the region.
“Michael’s dedication and leadership style have been a pillar to the Bank’s growth as an organization and in the community”, said Diane Manning, Chairman of the Board. “He is a true role model and is deserving of this year’s Business Leader of the Year award”.
The Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering business and community development throughout the region. The Business Leader of the Year award is given to individuals who have shown outstanding leadership and dedication to the community.
