Errors, Alterations and Forgeries
You must examine and balance your periodic statements as soon as you receive them. If you do not let the Bank know of any mistakes, alterations, or forgeries within 60 days after you receive a statement, the Bank may consider the checks paid during the statement cycle to be genuine and the statement to be correct. The Bank will not be liable to you for payment of any forged or altered check if you fail to notify the Bank of the forgery or alteration within the 60-day period, and your failure causes the Bank to suffer a loss. The Bank will not be liable for forged or altered checks if the forgery or alteration resulted from your negligence. You may have to bear losses that could have been prevented if you had discovered and told the Bank within the 60-day period of errors or unauthorized transactions.
