Shannon Haeseler promoted to Branch Manager

Kevin Merchant, president and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank, has announced plans to open a new, full-service branch office in Pawcatuck, Connecticut.

Located in front of Donahue Park at 46 West Broad Street, the newly renovated 2,800 sq. ft. office will feature a contemporary lobby staffed with customer service specialists, a drive-up window, on-site parking and a 24-hour drive-up ATM for customer convenience. When the office opens, which is expected to occur later this summer, it will be the Bank’s sixth full-service office location.

“We have a long history of serving the community and look forward to bringing our award-winning brand of community banking to our new neighbors in Pawcatuck,” said Merchant.

Leading the Pawcatuck branch office will be Shannon Haeseler, who was recently promoted to serve as the branch manager. Haeseler joined Jewett City Savings Bank in 1989 as a head teller and was a branch manager when she left the Bank to devote herself to her family. She returned to community banking in 2017 as an assistant branch manager before rejoining Jewett City Savings Bank as the lead customer service specialist at the Bank’s Plainfield office. A graduate of Plainfield High School, Haeseler lives in Canterbury with her family.

Amy Panciera has joined Jewett City Savings Bank and will assist Haeseler as the branch supervisor of the Pawcatuck office. Panciera is a resident of Westerly, RI and has more than 15 years of banking experience. She is an avid supporter of the Jonnycake Center of Westerly and has provided numerous hours of volunteer service to area organizations.

Throughout the summer, members of the Bank’s team will be in Pawcatuck visiting with neighboring businesses, connecting with existing customers in the area, and attending various community and Chamber of Commerce events.
