Jewett City Savings Bank awards local non-profits $50,000 in Federal Home Loan Bank grants for COVID-19 relief

As part of its participation in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Jobs for New England Recovery Grant Program, Jewett City Savings Bank has awarded $10,000 grants to five non-profit organizations. The grants, made possible through the Bank’s membership in the Federal Home Loan Bank, are designed to support organizations that have experienced significant losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The recipients of a $10,000 grant include:
American Legion Mayotte-Viens Post #13 of Putnam
Northeast Opportunities for Wellness (NOW) of Putnam
Renaissance City Theatre at the Granite Theatre, Westerly, Rhode Island
Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation (QVCC) of Killingly
Eastern Connecticut Performing Arts Association of Griswold
“COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the community organizations that are so vital to enriching our lives and communities.
