Overdraft Transfer
When you have a savings or money market account with us, you may request that we link it to your checking account with us. If any transactions are presented that would overdraw your checking account, and you have funds available in your savings or money market account that would cover the overdrawn amount, we will automatically transfer the overdrawn amount from your savings or money market account to your checking account. There is a fee each day that an overdraft transfer occurs.

Please contact us at 860-376-4444, or visit any branch office, to request our overdraft transfer service or ask about current fees.

Notice of Overdraft Services for ATM and Debit Card Transactions

What You Need to Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees

What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?
We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:

We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to (see below):

We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you have too many overdrafts. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

The amounts of any overdrafts, including our fees, are due and payable immediately or on demand.

What fees will I be charged if Jewett City Savings Bank pays my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices:

What if I want Jewett City Savings Bank to authorize and pay overdrafts on my ATM and everyday debit card transactions?
