Kevin Merchant, president and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank, announced that Michael Alberts, of Woodstock, has joined the Bank’s commercial lending team as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer.

Alberts, a Connecticut State Representative in the 50th District and former United States Air Force Captain, has an exceptional track record of service and advocacy. He also has built a distinguished career in the financial services industry, spanning nearly 30 years, working with both small and large institutions in Connecticut.

He joins Jewett City Savings Bank from Citizens Bank, where he served as Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing new and existing commercial banking relationships and supervising the commercial lending department.
