Introducing Mobile Text Banking

Accessing information about your Jewett City Savings Bank accounts is easier than ever with Mobile Text Banking. Available to customers using Online Banking, banking by text message is a free, secure and convenient service which allows you to check the balance, as well as recent transactions, on each of your connected accounts. (Please note: While the service is free, text message fees may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.)

If your mobile phone can send and receive text messages and you are registered for Online Banking, you are almost ready for text banking!

How to register your mobile phone
You may register up to five phone numbers for use with Mobile Text Banking.

Getting started is easy!

  • Step one: Log into Online Banking and click the Account Services Tab.  Go to “Mobile Text Banking” and enter the number of the phone on which you would like to send and receive updates. An activation code will be sent automatically to your phone.
  • Step two: Within Online Banking, enter the activation code in your Online Banking account to confirm receipt.

Now you are ready to begin using Mobile Text Banking.

How to use Mobile Text Banking
Once you have activated a mobile number, you may begin using the service right away. Simply send a text message with one of the commands listed below to 86020.

Command What you’ll receive
Menu A list of available text banking commands
Bal (or B) The available balance on each of your accounts eligible for this service
Hist (or H) The most recent transactions to occur on each of your accounts eligible for this service
Nick (or N) A list of the nicknames for each of your accounts eligible for this service. Note: Account nicknames displayed by Mobile Text Banking are established by our system and cannot be changed at this time.
Bal Nick The available balance on the account requested. For example, if the nickname on the account is CK*1234, text “Bal CK*1234” or “B CK*1234” to receive the available balance on the requested account.
Hist Nick The most recent transactions on the account requested. For example, if the nickname on the account is CK*1234, text “Hist CK*1234” or “H CK*1234” to receive the most recent transactions on the requested account.
Help Help with the system.
Stop (or S) You will remove the phone used to send the text message from this service.

Deleting a phone
You can remove a registered phone either by selecting the “Delete” option within the Mobile Text Banking page in Online Banking or by texting STOP to 86020 from the registered mobile phone.
